The biggest highlight is the direction: a perfect mixture of a classic Victorian environment with stunning modern filmmaking. The fresh concept of showing detective work, where Sherlock literally steps inside the crime scene and his own mind to analyze details, is visually breathtaking. Alongside this, the action sequences use slick slow-motion shots that look incredibly stylish. The story features a dark family drama intimately connected to the villains. The series features the brilliant quote, "**the devil's most devilish when respectable**," which perfectly complements the dark, mysterious tone of the show and adds a layer of philosophical depth to the mystery.
